State government renewable energy plans allow customers who generate their own electricity to sell it back into the grid. Please click on the state you live in to find all the information relevant to you.

Important changes to the Victorian feed-in tariffs. For more information please see our FAQ or visit the Victorian government website.

Customers with a current Premium Feed in Tariff (PFIT) contract will receive 66 cents per kWh for energy fed back into the grid.

Customers with a current Transitional Feed in Tariff (TFIT) contract will receive 25 cents per kWh for energy fed back into the grid.

Customers with a current Standard Feed in Tariff (SFIT) contract will receive the same rate for energy fed back into the grid as their consumption rate, net of any product discounts.(NB if you are a new Customer with an SFIT contract, moving to Australian Power & Gas, when you transfer to Australian Power & Gas, you will receive the General Feed in Tariff (GFIT) which is 8 cents per kWh for energy fed back into the grid.

Customers without a Feed in Tariff who are installing systems after 1 January 2013 will receive the General Feed in Tariff (GFIT) which is 8 cents per kWh for energy fed back into the grid.

You will receive 60 cents per kWh for energy fed back into the grid from eligible generators registered with your Energy Distributor on or before 27 October 2010.

For eligible generators registered between 27 October 2010 and 29 April 2011, the Solar Bonus Scheme will pay 20 cents per kWh.

For generators registered after 29 April 2011, the Solar Bonus Scheme does not make payments for energy fed back into the grid.

You will receive 44 cents per kWh for energy fed back into the grid from eligible generators registered with your Energy Distributor on or before midnight 9 July 2012, and installed on or before 30 June 2013.

For eligible generators registered after midnight 9 July 2012, you will receive 8 cents per kWh for energy fed back into the grid.

You will not receive payments for energy fed back into the grid from ineligible generators.
